Beware the silent sentinels of war's past,
Russian bunkers, shadows vast.
dangers hide,
Hazards of the years
denied.
Unseen threats in airless gloom,
Toxic remnants in every room.
Chemicals that can burn and blind,
Left behind, from times less kind.
Structures crumbling from time's ill savaging,
very likely not quite as strong as planned.
With hidden mines from forgotten fights,
triggered blasts, ignited nights.
heed this warning, clear and true,
These bunkers hold risks, old and new.
Tread not lightly where soldiers trod,
We may fear the past, but spare the rod.
